These terms govern your use of audio plugins (the "Software") sold under the Frø brand by Frø, an independent audio plugin studio based in Bergen, Norway ("Frø", "we", "us", "our team"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to these terms.
1. License grant
When you purchase a Frø plugin, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use the Software for your own personal or commercial music and audio work, subject to these terms.
You may install and use the Software on as many computers as you personally use, provided no two are used by other people simultaneously. Studios and small teams should purchase one license per concurrent user.
2. What you can't do
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, lend, or distribute the Software, your license file, or any installer.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Software, except where this is permitted by mandatory law.
- Remove or alter trademarks, copyright notices, or the brand identity in the Software or its installer.
- Use the Software in any product or service that competes with Frø.
If your license file is leaked publicly, we may revoke that license and issue you a replacement — see Section 6 (Termination).
3. Updates
Frø plugins receive free updates within their major version (e.g. v1.x). Major version upgrades (v1.x → v2.0) may require a paid upgrade. We aim to provide updates for at least two years after the date of purchase.
4. Pricing, taxes, and refunds
Prices are listed in USD on the website. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and handles payment processing, VAT/sales tax collection, and refunds.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or studio time.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Norwegian or EU consumer law.
6. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. We may also revoke a license if it has been publicly distributed; in that case, we will issue you a replacement license at our discretion.
On termination, you must uninstall the Software and destroy your license file.
7. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Bergen tingrett, except as required by mandatory consumer protection law (EU consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence).
EU consumers can also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/odr.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the latest version will always be available at fro.audio/terms. Material changes affecting existing licenses will not be applied retroactively without notice.
